Purpose of The Role
The Engineer is responsible for smooth operation of E & M equipment close to design parameter and most efficient manner. S/He needs to enforce and maintain engineering standards in operating and maintaining facility along with monitoring and controlling energy costs.
Job Accountabilities
Ensure uninterrupted service for E&M system e.g. Pumps, STP, WTP, OWC, DG, HNS etc.Assist the team Lead in operation related problems in electrical engineering discipline, DG, Pumps, STP, WTP, OWC, HNS etc.Provide training to ground technician and ensure smooth operation of the systemAchieve goal of Zero Accident, Zero Complaints & Zero equipment Down TimeEnsure Technical team follow SOPs, Log Sheets (operational, running and tracking), Check-Lists & Log BooksEnsure monthly training is conducted for the technical teamEnsure CAPA, PPM Compliance and AMC vendor tracking sheets are maintainedEnsure Uninterrupted service to internal customerMinimize the breakdown & downtime of equipmentsOptimize energy & repair and maintenance costRegulate upkeeping of facilities in pristine conditionEnsure implementation of best engineering practicesEnsuring engineering related statutory compliancesIntroduce new technologies, wherever possibleEnsuring accident free working environmentCheck standards of operation and maintenance Identify and address deviationsPeriodically review the standards and disseminate the informationEnsure preventive maintenance to minimize breakdownsAssist team Lead to trouble shoot and resolve engineering related issuesMonitor energy costsWork to identify measure to reduce costs on an ongoing basisFacilitate periodic Energy AuditsReview and assist in HLP budgetingShall be a Process Oriented Technical Manager and consistently follow & ensure team follow the Operational Service Procedures of the following:Fault ReportingEscalation Process ExternalEscalation Process - InternalIncidents (at site that are not affecting & affecting Compass performance) Reporting immediately through mobile, SMS & e-mail to all stakeholders & Root Cause AnalysisShall continuously monitor, track the following for against SLA, accomplish within SLA and share the documents:Log Sheet for AMC Vendor Jobs Tracking.Log Sheet for Corrective Action & Preventive Action TrackingLog Sheet for Continuous Improvement Items trackingLog Sheet for Site Infrastructure Log52W PPM ScheduleEnergy conservation initiativesBudget expense planningConsistent accomplishment on Service Delivery Plan:Ensure record of every member of team in the building is trained on SOPs, Log Sheets, check Lists & Log Books as per Service Delivery Plans & validated and then pressed into service for a new joinerEnsure records of competency mapping of experienced team members against skill set for the role play, identified re-training needs, training calendar and status as on dateEnsure records of periodic refresher training calendar and status as on dateConsistent accomplishment on Service Management Plan:Ensure smooth operation of Mechanical Equipment on day today basisMonitor & ensure the team follows SOPs, Records Log Sheets; Verify Check Lists & Promptly makes sensible entries in Log Book in line with Service Delivery PlansMonitor and ensure timely and Annual Shutdowns, equipment changeoversEnsure trend monitoring of critical process parametersAttend to various types of problems of equipmentManage contractual manpower. Safety coordinator for Mechanical ServicesPrepare training modules and undertake approval / review of various Training modulesVerify & share daily, weekly & monthly reportsEnsure 100% compliance to Service Delivery as per planExcellent customer satisfaction reports every monthDecent & polite communication with internal & external customersEnsure EHS-M&E works as a team at their respective levelsEnsure co-ordination with statutory authorities for site specific certification in time
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Preferably in Electrical/Electronics)
Skills Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in electrical systems (DG, Pumps, STP, WTP, OWC, HNS, system)Extensive knowledge of engineering operations in hospitality, Malls etc.Knowledge of modern trends and applications in the field of engineeringExposure to budgeting and basic accountingProficient and up to date with computer skillSharp analytical mind with good attention to detailAbility to multi-task on issuesAbility to work independently and on own initiativeProfessional approach and demeanorGood organizational, communication, interpersonal and team skillsStays informed about local, national and international best practice/trends in engineeringGood Management with Vendors/Contractors /ConsultantsAbility to deals with the Government Offices and other related offices
Experience
