We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js or WebRTC technologies to join our team in Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing scalable backend systems, integrating WebRTC solutions, and optimizing real-time communication performance. You will be responsible for building high-performance, reliable backend services and contributing to the design of real-time applications.
Responsibilities
Design and develop backend services using Node.js to support real-time communication features powered by WebRTC.Implement WebRTC signaling, media streaming, and peer-to-peer communication functionalities.Build RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration with front-end systems.Optimize server performance for handling real-time data and communication traffic.Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to store and manage data efficiently for real-time applications.Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate WebRTC with client-side interfaces.Develop and maintain microservices architecture to scale real-time communication systems.Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of backend systems.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in line with industry best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps and QA, for smooth deployment and maintenance.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to WebRTC signaling, connectivity, and performance.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js .Strong experience in WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) and real-time data streaming.Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration with WebRTC services.Hands-on experience with Socket. IO for real-time communication.Solid understanding of microservices architecture and message brokers (e. g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.Familiarity with authentication and authorization techniques (OAuth, JWT, etc. ).Proficient in Git for version control and experience with CI/CD pipelines.Solid understanding of security best practices for web applications and real-time systems.Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms like AWS or AzureExperience in unit testing and using testing frameworks (e. g., Mocha, Chai, Jest).Experience with media servers (e. g., Kurento, Janus, Jitsi).Familiarity with WebSocket for low-latency communication.Exposure to cloud-based WebRTC solutions.Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
